Was going down Jordan to hit Lincoln and was letting off around 5k rpm's. And pop.... Don't know WTF happened, car is sitting at John Elway nissan. They're gonna have a GAP insurance rep come down to inspect and see if they'll cover me, otherwise it's gonna be a shitload of dough to fix :cry:

b.t.w., yeah that Z just recently threw a rod thru the block a couple of days ago. The car has the Greddy TT, and the owner was one of the first guys w/ the kit on a Z. Car's been dragged and put thru hell but was placed in storage for the winter. He took it out a couple days ago, and when he was cruising to work OFF throttle the car threw a rod. This guy has custom tuned his car for quite a while and was definately running a very controlled tune. I can't recall how much boost he had it set at but I know it was a little over stock. Kinda sucks, just another one of the Z's to blow a motor under odd conditions. More fuel to the fire of trying to figure out what the heck is causing these engine failures. Right now people are looking at bad oil sump resulting in starvation and spun bearings, or a unshielded crank angle sensore wire which has been discovered to be erratic in documented *unpredictable situations resulting in extreme timing advance by the ECU.

well maybe it that you have to drill a large hole in the side of your engine to install a Turbo, and maybe that hole was not designed by the Nissan engineers.
