Hey all, especially the ladies, i am looking for a very upbeat person to work in my insurance agency.
since last summer i have had 2 people that have found other jobs or only wanted to work part time.
my business is growing and i can afford to pay a little more dollars per hour than i could last year.
pay will depend on experience.
let me point out a few things of concern about this position.

first of all i am looking for someone who wants a carrear not just a job.

i am not in business for the bennifit of providing you a job! nor am i providing a position so you have a place to come each day to run the clock on my dollar so you can collect a paycheck.

what i am trying to say is that i need someone who wants to make a carrear of working in my business. in time for the right person earning potential and bennifits could be more than you could have ever imagined.

responcibilities include and are not limited to the following

1. answer phone, it rings what seems like all day! in reality i just cant handel all the calls we get especially when i am with clients.

2. customer service. you would be making changes and answering questions about policies and billing.

3. Mail- we get new policies in the mail that need to be re- mailed to the customers

4. setting appointments there are lots of people to call, we get leads from the internet and we schedule annual reviews. you would be calling both old and new customers to make appointments for me. so good phone skills and the ability to talk to strangers comfortably are a must!

5. sending email insurance quotes.

6 there are many other misc things i need done. too many to explain and most nobody reading this would fully understand untill you have it explained to you.
you must be an organizes person. and familiar with MS outlook i find Outlook has a lot of power to keep you organized. if you know how to use it you will always be on task.

i need someone with good computer skills and with a very good attitude. more importanly i need someone reliable. if your looking for a summer job or plan on persuing another carrear don't even bother asking for this position. it takes far too much time to train someone all the aspects of this business and our software to waste it all on someone who is not serious.

PAY, to be honest i have a dollar amount in mind i would consider max pay. however there is also a commission oppertunity i will add to the mix that will make your earning potential whatever you want to make of it. i am a very fair and easy person to work for.
if you tell me what your hourly requirements and if you can prove with a resume and interview that you are worth thoes dollars per hour i will match or increase that dollar per hour figure if your actual proformance on the job shows you have what it takes.
if you plan to stay for 6 months or longer ill include a bennifits package for you to cover your medical, dental and vision if you need it. (depending on the person all or part of the bennifits may be covered by me)

for the right person i may even consider a salary + commission position. if i can find someone who is dedicated to making my business grow and is not concerned about working exactly 8 hours we can work out a salary position. frankly i would prefer that because it makes payroll a lot easier for me.

this post may make me seem a little harsh, but i have found out the hard way that good help is very difficult to find. and it seems when i find it it has proved to be temporary due to the fact before i hired the people they had already had job applications out before i hired them. as soon as a better oppertunity came along they left me or in the more recent cases recruited a relitive to take the position. unfortunatly the relitives they replaced themselves with turned out to be worse than what i had to begin with.

this position is available immediatly! as in as soon as you see this message there is a position waiting and i would like to schedule an interview for prospective candidates ASAP!
i would like to get someone trained so i can take a vacation and know everything will be taken care of while i am gone.

anyone interested in a great oppertunity and a carrear you can take as far as you want send me a resume to kcampbellins@pcisys.net

P.S. some of you reading this may think you dont have what it takes because you have no experience in insurance. trust me i am looking for anyone who wants a steady job and is seeking stability. you will find i am a really cool boss and when it gets slow i usually take my secratary out to lunch or send home early if they want. i am probly one of the easiest people you will ever meet to work for. anyone who knows me knows i have gone out of my way for total strangers to help them when i can.
i think one thing that has made it difficult for people to leave is that i have found i tend to form a good friendship with the people i hire. they usually feel really bad when they have had to leave.

if anyone knows of anyone that might be interested in a carrear change give them my contact information.
thanks for reading.

well i hired one that was one of my clients, she was awsome, 54 years old and worked like crazy. then she found an oppertunity with the church to help out needy children in third world countries. so she recruited her daughter who is 39 years old. she was working out great as well but only working part time. i really need someone full time and she said when school is out she wont have to leave at 1 in the afternoon anymore to pick up her kid. now she got a job with the airlines and gets free tickets anywhere for the family. so she is leaving.
now she recruited her 17 year old daughter who can only work 2 hours after school and to be perfectly honest i havnt had much luck with 17 year olds. so my expectations arent high with this one.
now all this week #2 is gone for training for the airlines and #3 cant work till thursday this week.
i look at the 60-70 hours i put in and try to figure out why i cant seem to find someone willing to work 1/2 the hours i work.

since i hired the first in jan we more than tripled our monthly production. i am now the leading producer for the company in the whole western 1/2 of the US out of over 500 agents. in fact my agency ranks #10 company wide across the US out of over 1000 agents so far year to date. (keep in mind i am not saying the size of my agency just since jan my new busienss is more than all these people)
and a lot of that has to do with my office help. i really dont want to see my numbers fall off i need to find a replacement soon.

I can tell you why you won't find someone who will work half your hours, it's your business, not theirs. People who work for you do not take even 1/10th of the pride you do. They are just there to collect their paycheck, be it a good place to work or a bad one. Its probably also related to the pay. I can't see a person making a career out of being your secretary, simply because they don't make a lot of money, especially in a small business. They are a dime a dozen and they will come and go, that is just how those positions generally tend to work. However, I do wish you the best and hope you get lucky finding a good one. Sometimes it does happen.

Yep, what he's asking is what I do for a living, and I hate it and don't care, and it's my mom's business to boot. He's not really S.O.L. or anything though, he just needs to find someone who he can train to be an agent and sell and stuff, which happens to be wants anyway. The point is that once he finds someone who he can get trained to be an agent, then his business will be their business because that's where most of their money will come from. Good luck Kevin.

Kevin it sounds like you're pretty much looking for an agent minus the whole selling part...

but anyways good luck, decent secretaries are hard to find.

Juts outta curiosity whats your company and what lines do you sell?

we seell every line you can imagine at American National Insurance
the company offers auto, home, life and business as well as financial services. and in addition to that we have many specialty markets like motorcycles, golfcarts, snowmobiles, atv's, boats, trailers, motorhomes, and even classic and exotic cars.
the good thing is as i like to use the analogy i dont have any clients with another agents hands in my cookie jar.
i cant imagine how frustrating it must be to have only auto or home or perhaps both to sell your client. they go to another agent who sells the same products as you do and can and probably will take your business away from you.
with our program we manage the clients entire insurance program. we eliminbate the competition by keeping everything you need insured in 1 office.
not to mention the fact if they are gonna buy insurance they might as well buy it all from me. i make a lot more commissions per household that way.
it also helps with the fact we absolutly kill everyone on price. i cant tell you the number of times i have heard "well ive lookes around and nobody has been able to beat the ionsurance i have with XYZ company"
and in every case ive won that bet!
i would say on average if your qualified based on credit and claims history to do business with American National i probably write 45 out of 50 people i talk to. and in every case i get all their business or none at all.

im looking for someone that is either licensed or i can help to get licensed. i plan to have them take over the Property and casualty side of the business eventually. i need to focus more on business and health insurance as well as agriculture business. all thoes lines have good potential.
i am already the lead producer year to date out of all the agents on the west side of the US for my company. i am just trying to find someone to help me stay in that position.
they dont need to know how to sell per-se but they do need to realise that i need someone who is reliable and wants to work to make a carrear for themselves.
eventually if they sell P+C ill just pay them straight commission.
