Raced a lotus

Tonight i was on my way home and got off the freeway to head down this long, straight road that hits my neighborhood after 20 or so miles. As i get off the freeway i pull up behind this really nice car, i had never seen it before. I was shocked to see it was a Lotus Esprit. I sat behind him pretty quietly, never revved or anything, but when the light turned green he gave the car a ton of throttle and it sounded mean as hell. I follow him under the freeway and the road turns into 2 lanes. he changed lanes and hops on my right and we roll up next to eachother at the next light. I rolled down my window and we talked for a minute, i wasnt really sure if he wanted to race. I saw the perpendicular light go yellow so i rolled up my window and he revved again, i brought my car up to about 4,000 rpms and had the clutch set perfectly. I honestly had a much better start on him and i tried to grab my cell outa my cupholder to take a quick pick but it flew outa my hand as I went for 2nd gear. (stupid mistake, i shouldve just concentrated on my car) he pulled hard on me all the way through 2nd, I pretty much spool right away but i think he was surprised that I wasnt lost behind him. I hit 3rd gear and pulled back up to maybe 1.5 car lengths from his drivers door. I usually dont race on an open road but it was to fun to pass up so i went into 4th and kept pushing it. He pretty much pulled me all the way through 4th and i finally let it go. We slowed back down and rolled up next to each other again, I looked over through his window and gave him a thumbs up, it was a beautiful car. He kinda of knodded just to say that my car was somewhat impressive, then floored it again and began weaving through traffic. I didnt bother to even try and keep up, just sat back with the cruise control on. Then about 15 minutes later I saw the same guy in the parking lot of a Taco Bell with a police officer hanging outside his drivers window. :)

nope, i was just so aroused by the car i had to grab a quick pick. then i wanted to catch it tearing my ass apart, but my cell dropped between the seats :(
