It's almost time for Bandimere, and I was wondering about tech inspection. I have a 89 240sx w/ sr20det engine installed. I have the battery mounted in the trunk, so do I need a kill switch for it? And if so, do I need access from outside the vehicle (a rod, or something, on the outside that says pull on, push off)? Anything else that I would need. My tires are fine, and my car doesn't have any oil leaks or coolant leaks. Let me know what I need to run this year.

I thought it opens in three weeks. I don't have a lot of time with school and work, so I need to start preparing now.

yes you need a kill switch visible/accessible from the outside of the car, you also need an NHRA approved battery box (if you dont have one already)

My friend told me they opened on the 20th (I think). I guess I wont make it out to the first one then.

I think Moroso (the blue one) is the only one that's approved.

nope. As long as you arn't leaking fluids and still have your overflow tank, battery tie down bar, ect you will pass. You will need a helmet if you are under 13.99 and I herd they changed the rules from last year, you dont need a roll bar until 11.5.
