Im 21 i own 4 cars each one with its own talents, To start with is my baby, its a 1984 VW Rabbit GTI all show with a lil go, Shaved door handles-Shaved trim-lowered 2 inch. on neuspeed sports springs-Neuspeed upper stress bar, front and rear lower sways-Custom moddified 2 inch exhaust from the manifold back-Custom 3 inch air intake-16 inch einke rims and soon to be new tires-Custom built sound system (equipment thanx to soundtrack), Next is my 1986 Toyota MR2 14 seconds flat in a quarter mile and top speed of 185mph- 4AGE (with soon to be a T66 greddy Turbo) and some extras, push the boost i should make high 12's low 13's- I blew up my old muffler so im looking to replace it with a monza racing muffler, Next is my 1991 Honda Accord LX newest to my collection RActive 3 inch cold air intake, soon to be a new Exhaust system (Compliments of Exhaust Pro's 114th and Huron) {NOT YOUR TYPICAL RICE CANON}. And last but not least is my 1991 Toyota P/U 22RE SR5- getting a motor swap with the factory toyota 22RE turbo (from the 4X4s).

I call BS on the MR2. If you're only running 14's, you don't have the power to go 145-150 with that car's drag resistance. And unless you have huge tires on the back have a 4A that is designed to rev to 10k you don't have the gear.

i agree. even if your 4a does rev that high, you would need a host of other parts in order to keep the engine together at that high of rpm. i was going to get a 1st gen MR2 for a while, but chose against it when i heard how low they are geared and how much money is required to get them to make decent power.

I think my Integra might have been able to do 150mph if it was geared for it better. I.E. not running out of gear at 130.

I tried racing my brother's modified 2002 Dodge Ram turbo diesel... and found out very quickly that the LS transmission was NOT geared for high end acceleration... I ran out of 4th at 100, and had NO acceleration on flat highway in 5th... took me nearly 2 miles to get from 100 to 115... by which point he was so far ahead of me I just broke down and cried.

Actually, to be real honest, it was hard to tell how far up he really was... that truck left a smokescreen of black shit so thick that you couldn't see the truck. :D

My car had 277 hp at the wheels though. Also, I had a 90 Integra with the gearing like a GSR, so I would be flying and have to let off because the tach would get too close to redline in 5th.

I pushed my DSM a bit past 150 but I was running out of gearing and the rear end was getting alot of turbulence under it;I guess an Erector set ricey wing would have actually been useful and "un-riced" itself. :D
