1st Luncheon of 2002?

How about it guys? We havent had one since October..its been a while. Certainly have a lot of new members that I'd like to meet..see if we have picked up any of those 11.3s civics.

I was thinking in a few weeks would be cool (to match my weekend off of course) :)

Like saturday or sunday? (the 19th or 20th)

Anyone else interested? I think the location in Castle Rock worked out pretty well last time...I'd suggest we do it down there again..or somewhere close.

Either Chilis or the Rockyard Brewery would be good. We had a CoDSM meeting at the Rockyard a few yrs ago, and they handled the 30 or so of us who showed up w/o a problem. I had to go talk to them beforehand and make a reservation. We had a buffet setup, so there was nothing off the menu, and everyone had a set $$ to pay.

How many usually show up to the lunches?

We usually get about 15-30 people. Last time at Chiles was the best turnout we've had. I think most people showed up because Castle Rock is a good compromise on the drive for both the Denver and Co. Springs folks.

If you are into the brewpub atmosphere, there's always the Rockyard Brewery. They'd have a better chance at fitting in a crowd than Chilis would, as the Chilis here is sorta small..

since a lot of the people that are going to be going arent 21 and wouldnt have a whole lot of fun at Blackhawk..I think it would be cool if we ate lunch, went for a drive after lunch, and then those people that want to cruise up to Blackhawk can do so after that? I think it would be fun to roll up the mountain myself..but we do have a lot of minors I think..

Anyone have any suggestions on where to drive? Or anyone else interested in that? Guess since there is a little snow around we'll have to watch the mountain roads..but as long as we dont get WAY up there.. :)

We could always go jack some semis or something...or do some daylight street races...isnt that what people with imports do when they get together in groups?

Wherever we end up..I think we'll be turning heads...

Take the outlet mall exit. Head west to the 1st stoplight, take a left. If you took a right vs a left you'd head into the outlet mall.

The rockyard is about 1/4 mile down on the right.

ok..I have made a LIST (its quite a list) of everyone that has RSVP'd and those that havent yet..but said they will go. Also, assuming that the "normal" group..will all be there for sure.

Between 5 & 6 bucks. Why take E470? Take 25 to 225 to 70 to pena. About 45 minutes from CR.

That is the best way. Remember there is construction on I-25 between Dry Creek and I-225, and they are still working on I-225 and Parker Rd.

Just a warning. Usually there is traffic on southbound I-225.

Well so far so good. Yesterday was a big progress day. At around 2pm we fired the car up for the first time. YAY no CE light :).

All thats left is the following:
Cross Members,
Down pipe,
Interior stuff such as put my passengers seat back in and mount my MSD box
3" intake
Finish the accessory belts.

Once that is done its gonna be be time to give the car a good scrubbing. Hopefully right after I'll be on my way down.

If anyone sees a red 90 with a big FMIC and a loud exhaust going down parker road thats me.
