had a funny feeling shifting gears with my clutch suffering from severe dehydration. stiff as hell. turned out the slave cylinder developed a leak. and once i looked at it closer, it turns out the thing is pretty worn and rusty.. so i was wondering - is it worth keeping the cylinder and just change seals, or it's better to replace the damn whole thing? i bet it shouldn't cost more than 30-50 bucks (fingers crossed)?

edit: oh, in case HAI these days is full of ignorant noobs, this is for '94 accord ;)
j/k about noobs

i'm replying to my own messages in my own threads, how sad is that...

anyways, will get it for 75 bucks.

And another question - is it only recommended to use DOT3 fluid in the clutch system, or I can use left overs of Motul high performance brake fluid? any downside to that?

I think any fluid is fine except 5, just like with normal brakes.

It doesnt have to deal with near the amount of heat that the brakes do. DOT 3 is fine.
