I want to remove my A/C but can't find a link with pictures on how to do it... does anyone know of one? better yet does anyone know how to do it? I know that it shouldn't be hard, but it's scary start to take things off without knowing what you're exactly doing... Let me know!! thanks :)

What all did you remove? What's with some gas that i've been reading that you have to be careful about?

took off the pump, condensor, lines, and wires. There was some freon in the pump that I accedentally spilt on my shirt and on my garage floor, but im still alive so I guess it cant be that bad.

was it an integra you took it off of? if so, does the fan on the drivers side also come off?

I did it on my 95 civic, I dont know how much different an Integra would be

I would guess pretty much the same set up. I started with the compressor, then just followed the lines. That should pretty much be a complete removal. Just get a shop to properly vent the freon.

Just vent the freon where none of your neighbors can see.
Fuck the environment, it's just a big pussy. If it's so endangered it needs to get tough and defend itself instead of letting a bunch of dirty hippies fight its battles for it.

I took ac out of my teg, and i think all the freon leaked out before i took it out. Somobody went in the ditch with the car before me and bent it all up. First off take off the pump on the drivers side lower motor mount. If you dont want to save the lines, just take the 10mm bolts out, and take a flat screwdriver and pry up the hardlines off the pump and condensor. All the hardlines bend super easy so again if you are not keeping it, just like bend the hell out of it to get it out of you car. They if you take the intake off and the battery you can get easy acces to the hardlines that connect to the fire wall. The condensor should come out without the radiator, i am not sure becuase i need a new radiotor when i took my condensor out so i took them bnoth out. You do not have to get rid of the fan on your drivers side unless you want to. You could either hook it up to the other fan so when it turns on they both do, a little extra cooling idea, or run a strait power from battery and have a switch for it in the interior so you can turn it on when you want. Or you could just get rid of it and save 1 pound. I do not know how you get the freon vented out or anything about that so yea maybe ask a shop what they do with it, but i would take the rest out yourself cause its really easy, save yourself some money. If you want any more info on say taking power steering out, and replacing the hole steering rack, let me know, cause i did all this stuff on my teg.

I took my AC out of my CRX and it wasn't that hard. I don't think it would be that different from an Integra. If you need help hit me up.

i'm pretty much done; i only have a question to the ones that done this before; did you rip the belt off or did you take it off without having to tear it? i just dont want to rip it and then find out there's a way of getting it out easy. thanks guys!
