The Hooters is accually inside/connected to the south side of the mall. When you make the right from Acadmey, go left onto Citadel and follow around the mall till you see the Hooters on the right.

EDIT: Due to a large amount of ppl coming, accually plan on parking accross the street from the Hooters/Mall. There is a larger parking lot there. Just look fro my Evo

ofcourse;), but i need motivation since im also dont like having to drive long distance on a constant 80 mph speed limit, my gears are really short and in 5th gear at 80 ill be @ 4.5k rpms the whole time. I havent "gutted" my precats yet and that kind of drive can potentially lead to their failure earlier then I would like. Its complicated:)

From what I hear from my friend Brandon, the alternator swap ranks somewhere between a bad nightmare and hell.

Eghhh . . . it's not THAT bad. But it does suck. Even getting all three fasteners loosened so you can adjust the damn belt takes about 1/2 hour minimum. It's about 10X more annoying than pulling the alternator on say - a Civic.

The rear crossmember, exhaust system, rear wheel, cruise control unit, and passenger rear wheel well all conspire to make it a complete PITA. You can remove the C/C, exhaust and rear wheel easily enough of course, but pulling the crossmember is more work than it's worth, and unless you want to sawzall the wheelwell, you're kinda stuck with that too.

New salvage-yard alternator is now installed with new belt, only one loss of skin incident and ferocious swearing into the night episode. I get togo to bed at 1:50 am, and that's after a 10 minute test-drive/cruise too. Car was noticeably faster with an open downpipe though - now I'm not so sure I can run away from Hung and his mighty STi.

Oh well. Hopefully I can at least make Weston smaller in my rear view at will. :) Speaking of whom, Wes gimme a call Sat. morning to decide when/where to meet on the way down - I don't know the way to whatever mall we're meeting at down in the Springs.

25+ over the limit becomes a misdemeanor, but hauling your ass in for booking is up to the discretion of the officer. 40+ over is also a 12-point offense. My last ticket was for rapidly accelerating to about 90 in a 45 zone... I was ticketed for 4-point careless driving and I ended up with an $80 fine, one night of traffic school, and a 2-point "failure to signal" charge on my MVR. If I were pulling that crap in traffic or near pedestrians, I'm sure it would have been 8-point reckless driving and a few other things (maybe some nice shiney bracelets too). It all depends on how smart you are about it, how understanding the cop is, and how much of an asshat you act like. Some realize that you do have a brain in your head and were at least attempting to put only yourself at risk, while others like to assume that if you do something by yourself on an empty stretch of road, you'd also do it somewhere stupid like in a school zone or in heavy traffic.

Of course, if you fly by an officer at such speeds, sometimes they wont even bother making the futile attempt to come after you... they'll just get on the radio and have five or more units from multiple agencies looking for you. I heard that's what happened to Wally and Adam one time. ;)

It's 5:30 am and I just got done with the car... fucking starter decided it didn't want to work so I just spent several hours dicking with it. It magically works again after I pulled it out and put it back in twice (which is a real PITA with my upper-chargepipe and strut bar). And I still need to bleed my clutch a little more after my little slave cylinder disaster...

03EvoVIII, thanks for the reminder not to get killed/arrested if at all possible. It'll be good to meetcha. Thx for organizing the meet. I'll be the asian guy with a bad haircut hanging with Weston and Hung (because in juxtaposition I end up lookin prettygood).

Another thing - I would strongly discourage people from BLOWING past slower traffic at 90+ mph, even if it's "safe." Almost everyone's got a cell phone these days, and a call from Gramma that a bunch of just hoodlums passed her at AT LEAST 160 mph (and they're probably transporting stolen DVD players) to CSP could put a damper on our fun REAL quick.
