Gun safety instruction should not be tought by a guy with a dreadlocks who makes reference to 50 Cent during his lecture. It would be better to not teach it at all if the only person available for the job is liable to shoot himself in the leg.

On another note, not nearly enough people in general know how to handle a gun safely (as is in part evidenced by this fuckwit DEA agent). When I was at my parents' house for Christmas, my dad and I were showing the gun collection to some guests, handling them, discussing the firing systems of the old flint locks, etc., and 100% of the people who were handed a gun to examine made short work of unwittingly pointing it at everyone in the room. This included a fully loaded .50 caliber revolver which was safely unloaded after the first person to handle it proved to be a dipshit; after being warned it was loaded and to only point it at the floor and keep his finger well away from the trigger and hammer, Mr. SmartGuy promptly looked down the barrel. Some people just don't know how to handle a gun, and could very easily paint their walls with the brains of their loved ones before they realized they made a mistake. When you shelter people from guns, as soon as they get their hands on one they do something stupid.

It's not hard to inspect the weapon to see if it's loaded either. I don't quite see how that "DEA Agent" missed it.
