Anyone know where a good place to find those new Sylvia pistons everyone is talking about and what the big deal is about them? I am estimating a new engine.

How much power are you wanting to make? On the SR20DET? Cause they will handle over 350 hp on the stock internals. And its SILVIA. If its the KA24DE, then look for about 600 bucks from Ross or Arias.

I don't plan on having more than about 300hp anytime soon so maybe I will wait if thats a real fiqure. I have just heard they put out alot better compresion.

Sylvia was a Mexican hottie I used to stick. The car is a Silvia. And "put out a lot better compression" doesn't make a terrible amount of sense, you'll have to elaborate.
So who makes these pistons? Or is Sylvia the brand?

JE Pistons used to have them off the shelf and I'm sure that Wiseco has them. The SR20DET pistons will fit from any S13 red or black top as well as the S14 and S15 black top with or without the VVL or even SR20DE for that matter.

For a local shop to help you with the machine work or the parts, I recommend Pro-Built Cylinder Heads off of Evans on S. Bannock.
