advance & retard

ok quick question. on a B16A1 which way do i turn the dist. to retard timing, and is it the same for all B series? thanks.

I don't see how it could be different... Rotate the distributor clockwise (ie move the top away from the firewall) to retard, and the other way to advance. Do it with the use of a timing light, obviously.
