Wondering what would be the best low budget car to fix up.
A 300ZX? A Prelude?
In your opinion what would be a good car to fix up. I am new to the import scene.

what do you want to do with it? 1/4 mile? autox? road race? How much are you looking to spend?

What do you want to do with it? Make it fast? restore or make it look good? Handle? or or a little bit of everything? It also depends on what kind of cars you like. I dont think parts would be the cheapest for the cars you listed, but the cars you do find are generally well kept and wont need much work to get them in working order ar make them look good. Tell us what you like and wich way you want to go and we can throw up some good suggestions.
japanese, old school, sports cars, euro, ricer, etc......

LOL its not that I hate it, its just that he said he was looking for a "low budget car." If you drive a vr-4 nothing is ever low budget :(

Welll I live in Hickory, NC. Supposedly Street racing capital on the East coast. Windy curves so yes I want it to handle and I'd be doing street races.
Reason I mentioned a 300ZX is because you can get em really cheap down here.
When I'm not racing here in Hickory I think I'd go and race some pals back up in northern NJ which is also windy roads. So yeah...
Something to start out lower than 10k

Yeah, it's the latest Raleigh street ricer site, just popped up a few days ago. I figure anyone who asks "What pulls in more money? Drags? I just want to get faster cash." will fit right in. The guy's from Hickory, NC, where they all go out on the weekend and street race. I'm not exaggerating, it's like the area thing, probably because there's not much else to do in Hickory. They all get together on back roads and race for sometimes thousands of dollars/per race in Preludes, Civics, etc. If I didn't have a life I'd head out there some weekend and watch.

get a early 90's Z28 for around 6k then N20 and a clutch car aint good for turning but you can go fast straight ;)

I have found in my life that staying at a dead end job will get you lots of ass. Especially if you have a car that makes you lots of money on the weekends. :rofl: Get a new job homo. One that pays you enough to be able to go to a shop and ask them, so you don't need to post dumb ass questions here.
