thats our big monthly meet, we have spuratic (sp?) ones every once in a while, and a couple people go to BW3s on Wednesdays for wings. Just check out the upcoming events section every once in a while

We mostly just stand around talking eating and making fun of people who do burnouts

Do you know about the 3000GT/Stealth Rocky Mountain gathering in June? Check out co3s.org for all the info on that.

Sweet. I like BW3 wings, I will probably see you guys there Wednesday.. This seems like a really cool place to meet people. So how many people in here own a VR-4. They are nice cars, just really heavy. Mine is nice, but it could be nicer. Like the paint, some disrespectful b*tchs egged my car so there are egg marks all on the passenger side, plus the guy that owned it befor me thought he would do some things to it, and lets just say he didn't do a very good job and I just haven't had the money to fix everything.. But hopefully that will be taken care of soon...

I hate the heavy complaint, the "almighty" Supra weighs 3,600 pounds, we're barely 200 pounds heavier with two extra drive wheels.... and can drive in snow ;)

Your other two points, yes :)

My friend is trying to get a JSPEC VR-4 in. He just needs to find someone that lives in canada to drive it over the border. My bro just bought a 2001 Audi A8 and he is planning on tuning it. Why? Idunno :)

doctorstupid
03-10-2005, 12:21 AM
For one thing, there is no such thing as a J-spec VR-4, in Japan they were GTO's and did not have a VR-4 trim level. GTO, GTO SR, GTO Twin Turbo, and GTO MR.

Second, the only difference is the tail lights, no precats, power folding mirrors, and the wheel is on the wrong side.

Third, the lack of a VIN number will make it rather difficult to register and drive on the street. That's an awful lot of work considering all the JDM parts can be had on eBay, including RHD conversions.

Coyote121403
03-10-2005, 12:27 AM
He is looking at buying it in Korea and having it shipped. He has a wrecked 3000GT right now so no problems with the vin if you know what I mean. But I agree he should just spend the money on a dom. VR-4 and put some cash in it. But he doesn't listen to me. Like when I told my bro to get an S4 instead of that boat of an A8. But I do give him props for almost keeping up with a S4 in the 5700 lb car LOL.

A while? Like what, 4-6 hour endurance race? LOL!!!

The only description that does mine justice is "ready, willing, & able". >toothy grin<

By the way doc, we gotta get together sometime!

One day I'll ahve more suspension goodies than you can shake a stick at. For now I'm on stock ECS shocks, intrax springs and a rear strut bar. You certainly have the advantage of weight, experience and I can only assume suspension. One day, though..... :D

We definately should meet up at some point. Do you know Shane? He has a supercharged SOHC, he lives 30 seconds from me and there are a few guys around Boulder. Sounds like a heavily modified 3/S meet is in order :)

I just ordered the Tein Flex with EDFC.. It should be here sometime this week. I would be interested in a 3/S meet.. My car isn't heavily modified though..

Hahaha! Excellent, I have not doubt that you're gettin' serious. You'll laugh, but I raced on 1.5 Intrax for 4 years, good spring.

I don't know him, but that sounds awesome. What are you guys doing this next weekend? If the weather is nice, we should throw down some on the BBQ and kick it.
We all live so close, but never see anyone!!

His car is pretty cool, I really commend him for such a unique project. He has an Eaton M90 on a 97 base, he dyno'd something like 220FWHP and 320lb.ft. at 5psi. I would say it pulls about as well as stock TT, not bad for somthing that started out with half the power. And he just got a 9psi pulley but is having some electrical issues. If you see a green base with the hoop spoiler and a CF hood with a backwards STi hood scoop, that's him, and the backwards scoop is hiding the blower ;)

If the weather would quit sucking, a BBQ sounds like a damned fine idea.

Too bad Ryan's car will be only marginally bad ass when compared doctorstupid's car :D

If it's at my place, we get to piss of my neighbors by taking up all the street parking with cars many times beter than anything they have ever owned, and I would just love to do that to them :D . Plus, if it's at my house, my car will actually be at a meet for once, imagine that!
