How often do you have to change them?
when they start knocking...kekeke
i just replaced the cv joints on my 87 honda for the first time. that was after 181,000 miles. when you start hearing a clicking sound when you crank the wheel, then its time to change them

Even then you don't need to replace them. I just disassemble, clean, and repack mine with fresh grease. I've gotten well over 200,000 miles out of CV joints.

No, you don't need to replace them unless they are bad.

Lots of shops and people do this if you catch them soon enough. A lot of people let them run until they are basically shot and the joints are actually bad. You can stil just knock off and on a new outer joint and then repack it but just cleaning it won't do much if it is actually bad. :)
