Okay, so for a while I didn't have the air from my BOV recirculating, and that made the check engine light come on. I put the hose back on and the air is recirculating and i know that if you unhook the battery it will reset, but do you think that that's what the problem is?

Probably. I don't really know DSMs, but disconnecting the battery (or the ECU fuses; there may be more than one) for a few minutes will reset it on most cars.

You should have Checkers or Vatozone validate that the code really is related to what you think it is before you reset it.

It should stay off if you reset it and solve whatever triggered it. Having an open air blow off valve on a MAF equipped car will screw up your fuel mixture, so that's probably what it was. AutoZone can tell you what the light is for and reset it for free; I assume Checker does the same.

Its not due to Open atmosphere venting, I assure you that. That will not cause a CEL. You have something else wrong with your car. BTW why are you venting to atmoshere if you have a greddy Type S? It is almost as loud recirculating back into the intake, but allows your car to run correctly. I would suggest hooking it back up and getting yourself a Datalogger before buying a bigger turbo and Exhaust. You'll thank yourself in the long run. when your car runs correctly and isn't broken due to a lean condition.

Jump on RMDSM.ORG, there are more than enough members in Ft. Collins, with dataloggers, that would be willing to help you out.
