George vs. Evolution VIII

George was on his way to the BW3's meet although very late. When turning west onto the road that runs right by BW3's, George had come behind a Black Evo 8 w/ aftermarket exhaust and what sounded like an aftermarket BOV. George had got into the left hand lane next to the Evo and drove past it. The Evo then proceeded to keep right behind George. The Evo then started blurping the throttle to see if George wantedt o run. George checked out the road, was clear all the way down to Austin's house, so he went ahead and started to slowly get on the throttle to let the Evo driver he's up for a little fun run. Once the EVO got on it, George slammed the gas. The Evo 8 started to immediately fall behind as George got on the gas. From 35-90 the Evo fell behind 2 car lengths and was falling behind very consistently. George let off as the speeds already being reached were dumb to be going on any regular street. George eventually pulled over with the guys in the Evo 8. Pretty young guys but cool. Had a sweet ride, George wishes he could have one :)

George then then threw a U-turn to head east back to BW3's, and the Evo 8 also turned with him to get in one last run. George waited for the Evo 8 to get on it, and the Evo 8 got a little jump. George slammed on the gas and the Evo 8 stopped right at George's passenger door and started to fall back. George was pulling pretty good and the Evo 8 fell back about a car and a half but the fun run ended pretty quick to try and keep the speeds down. This was George's first time running against a stock-ish Evo 8. He has run one yellow one before that had the PSI bumped up, and that was a no contest lol, talk about Geroge getting raped by that one :) . George thought the Evo 8 sounded awsome with the loud as BOV going of between the Evo's shifts. Geroge thanks the Evo for some fun runs! The guys didn't know about HAI, but now they do ;) George was suprised how the race turned out :)

Yeah i wish i was twin turbo. I was suprised when I ran the guy, thought it would of been faster. I'm not stock, pushen about 25 more horses than a regular Z. But it was cold last night and the car was sure running really nice :) Although still rich as hell judging by the black smoke I could see with his HID's in my rear view mirror as they drifted away :)

Didn't ask him when I was talking to him, sounded greedy, i mean greddy ;) Definately audible that he was running some boost. Sounded awsome, but I think I'm getting to that point where i would prefer are more low profile BOV.

nope > nismo cams, nismo headers, crawford Z plenum, kinetix test pipes, borla true dual exhaust (fixed),UR pulleys. Have a JWT intake for it as well, but swapped the stock intake box back on because i was too lazy to clean the jwt. Might as well get around to that sometime. I got almost every bolt-on known to a Z'er, but all that dude has to do is put on a BC and it's over, I'm left in the dust :)

I still got plans for putting in a tilton street flywheel/clutch (extremely light), and shorter R&P in the diff along w/ a nismo LSD to stop the 1 wheel wonder spin

I have the Nismo catback 3" Stainless exshuast ... and a real nice sound system... I have shitty ass tracking.. I put on new rear tires 245/45 and they just suck ass.. extremly pissed at my rear tire spinning machine and No LSD

Ya the break problem was this, NIssan does not want you to drive your Z. period.
I replaced the rotors and pads on all 4

Did you resurface the rotors when putting the new pads on? Didn't sound like you had an issue before you started that. My brakes still sqeek like hell, that's the only complaint i have about the Z, aside from having to do warranty work once a month :)

Yeah, in about 4-5 months I'll be setup to start modding the Z again. Gonna finish off my driveline N/A mods before I start aquiring all the turbo stuff.

I would seriously think about a major MOD, but the issue is, I dont know any Certified people here who could help me. If I had the room to work (I only have a single car garage ) maybe it would be easier, but alais..I am a computer tech/nerd not a mechanic. I would seriously think about a SC or a Turbo, if I knew I had help installing it.
