I just installed this manifold today. The stock exhaust studs wern't strong enough to hold it. So it looks like another $100 from ARP for a simple mod.

Does anyone have this kind of setup?

The flange as shown here

has a bad design. Since the tube extends past the flange, the seal to the exhaust gasket never made a good contact. So I had to re-surface the flange in order to make the seal.

The manifold also comes with a non-heat resistant paint. This item was purchased for around $250 from Pacesetter compared to the others for $600-$800.

i've heard nothing but bad things about these manifolds. A ported 2g manifold will flow better and wont crack. I hope you have better luck with it than others have. As for the studs why pay 100$ Go to a supply store and get hardened studs that are longer for far less $

Yep, ported 2G exh manifolds have run nine second 1/4 mile times. Until you run nines, there's no reason to change from the basically stock Mitsu part.

My 7cm exhaust housing cracked (one all the way through), and my 2g manifold still hasnt.
