so here's a way to save some cash. safeway has ragu 4 jars for $7 bucks, but it's also produced by Unilever. so if you buy 6 jars, you get 10 bucks instant savings.
6 jars of ragu = 10.50
instant saving - 10.00
6 jars of ragu after savings 00.50

how do you get the instant savings? I need some more pesgetti sauce.

go to safeways, the ragu sauces should be on sale 4 jars for $7 bucks, but the company that makes ragu is giving out instant savings as well. essentially if you pick up 6 of their products, you get 10 bucks instant savings, but it's limited to on $10 dollar saving per household.
so 4 jars of ragu = $7.00
2 more jars would be $3.50
so for 6 jars, your paying $10.50
then with the instant saving -$10.00 off
you pay .50 cents and tax for 6 jars of ragu

So all you need is a safeway card? And 6 jars of ragu? and a dollar bill?

there is a limit of 1 per household. some places will enforce it, some wont, but i think they way they enforce it is that they keep track of it on your safeway card. damn people who exploit specials
solution-make another safeway card :D. we have 12 jars of marinera sauce, and 6 jars of alfredo cause (since my brother doesn't eat tomato sauces)

We are going again, wife has her own different safeway card plus her parents card. We're going to stock the damn pantry full! Plus I told my brother in law and his girlfriend.

In any case. If you're truly hard up on cash...do what I did. Invest in a rice cooker, buy a big azz bag of Hinodi...and stock up on tuna fish & Ramen! If you keep an eye on the Sunday coupons....you can hit up King Stoopers and grab yourself some serious double or triple coupon savings!
