i mean, 150 bucks for 1gb as or 300 for 20gb. a child of 5 can do that math. i understand its new and very cool, but the price is a bit stiff for what it really is. for 100 bucks? i think they could push alot of them though.

Size is everything. But in the spy world it's the other way around.

To me the size is more important than ability to hold more music than I'll ever be interested in. With all the crap music being released today filling this thing up might be a struggle. 250 songs is a lot of music for stuff like the gym and such. The regular iPod is too big to use during many activities.

Uh, does this thing seem really fucking gay to anyone else? Why not just put a normal iPod on 'shuffle' instead of buying an under-featured, inferior one? All it does it randomly select music to load from your harddrive, yeah.... that won't get old :rolleyes:

$$$. Not everyone can afford a regular ipod. The iPod shuffle is smaller, no moving parts. And it's not always set on shuffle.. u can go through the playlist in order. And you can put whatever songs u want on there.. a feature called Autofill can automatically select random songs and fill up ur iPod shuffle, but you don't have to use it. Personally, I've always wanted an iPod, but never had the money and a regular iPod would be overkill. I think the ipod shuffle is perfect because I put all the songs I want to listen for the day, as well as carry around school documents on it. And at this price point, it's pretty hard to beat, considering it's integration with iTunes.

Hung the best bet is to just buy it at the local ipod store at cherry creek. Definatley get the ipod mini at least. I would have gotten the 30 or 40GB but mine was a gift so i am not complaining.
