Ford Tempo

My friend jesse just bought a 1986 o 87 Ford Tempo. He waz wondering if therez any swapz you could do to this Tempo thanx he just wants a fast car and he doesnt know what to do. I laughed at first but its a pretty decent car and low miles nice sound system I just dont know why he'd buy a tempo but o well THANX FOR THE HELP GUYS

I dont think there's anything he can do. I believe it's a 2.3l motor with maybe a single point FI system or it's carbeurated.

I think I've heard of some people dropping in turbo Probe and big V8s into Tempos.
But I'm not certain.

Turbo it. Blow it up, crush it then buy a Honda. jk. Im not sure what is possible, If he has the money to do sucha project i would probably look into a Probe swap?

thats what i would think, probe GT. i dont know what years work for swap wise, but i know 95 96 has got a good motor in it. nissan 3.0 v6? cant remember, pulls pretty hard though.

Not even close. The 93-97 Probe has a Mazda v6 putting down 170 hp. The earlier probe engine is a better swap since its turbo'd.

mazda, nissan, same difference. i tend to get confused when domestic companies put import engines in thier cars. like the dodge steath has a twin turbo mitsubishi motor in it, acura has honda, etc...
