Hi Tobi, I know you didn't ever see my honda act up the way it has been for the past few weeks. Figures that it would behave when you have the car  The idle is acting up, going up to 2k, down to 500, up, down. etc. It'll go away when the car warms up after 5-10mins, for the most part. But then i'll stop my car after a long drive with the engine good and warm, get back in 3 mins later, and it'll be doing it again for the next 5 mins. It even does it while driving too, as long as I'm in the Rpms range of 500-2k. Going through parking lots is painful, having the car lurch forward every couple seconds.

Any thoughts, or fixes to this embarrassing problem?

Those symptons are indicatiions of a vacuum leak.

It acts like it has low coolant or a vacuum leak. Other than that I would have to look at it and diagnose the problem.

i was going to say low coolent my 98 Prelude did that before. its because a pocket of air gets near the temp sensor and the car keeps going from hot to cold idle speed.

Low coolant is possible, check the IACV. This controls fast idle and uses a thermo wax valve. These have a problem.

The 92-95 civic doesnt have a thermowax valve FYI.
