I dont do any socketing. Im not delicate enough to do the job. I have tuned one Uberdata car. Not too bad a system.

Its OK. The only thing in life that I "like" is sex and booze. But as far as low cost tuning goes its decent.

Tobi, I read some stuff on someone developing a device that will allow for uberdata to be tuned on the fly, similar to afc. If that device will cost under $200 and do what its supposed to, would you support it?

Not unless I can test it first.

isn't crome just another piece of software to burn chips?
Time for another beta release.
This one will not have to much difference from 1.0 except mostly for the CromePro features.
What's New?
- Knock Logger (Some testers required)
- Knock/Ignition Auto-Tuner
- Minimal Live View (for people with not so fast PCs. On the Live View panel, right-click and select Minimal View. This improves datalogger datarate by not performing extra calculations needed to display datalog data. On my 1.6 Centrino, I get 40-50 samples per second compared to 20-25 samples per second on normal view.
- Ostrich support
- Plus more I can't remember
What's Fixed?
- P30 ELD location was wrong for some reason on the old version. It's fixed now
- RTP... Not really fixed, but there's a reasonably good version there. I need people to test it out.
- I don't know what's the deal with checksum, but all files are checksummed to zero and still will get checksum error. WTF?
- Plus more I can't remember
Included Plugins
BoostTools+ - New boost code which compensates for MAP sensor cutoff and includes fuel modifiers built in: main,o2,crank,tipin. Now also includes a larger list of common MAP sensors so now there's no more guessing numbers. There are 14 sensors types to choose from which covers 1Bar to 3Bar sensors.
Quick Datalogger +RTP - You'll need this to test the new RTP stuff and also to use the knock logger.
Special thanks to all people who have purchased a CromePro license. Their support is what led me to release BT+ with fuel modifiers. Special thanks also goes to Mind-Eracer and other plugin writers for releasing great plugins that shows off the potential of Crome.
Note: This is a beta release and I would really appreciate people's feedback on both the software and the plugins to finalize the release.

Like Uberdata except not as developed

It's a full fledged tuning software, that's on the verge of becoming the best tuning option for boosted honda's and N/A honda's.
It has full support for a romulator and Ostrich unit for realtime programablity like a hondata system..
I have many custom rom that I'm currently developing that can be tuned be this software..

Can you explain the Ostrich?
I heard it was the thing that would allow ubderdata to be tuned on the fly, but dont know.
Isnt the Romulator, Hondata's chip burner?
You should just explain everything :)

The ostrich (http://www.moates.net/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=57) and Romulator (http://xtronics.com/memory/pktROM.htm) are both rom emulators. They allow you to tune your car on the fly. A program like crome or uberdata with rom emulator support make it much easier to tune your car. U can tune it while your on the dyno or on the street much faster then tune and burn method.

those options are expensive though, they were selling RTP kits on the pgmfi.org forums for around $40

They are definitely more expensive then RTP kit, but the rtp kit doesn't work!!! To many issue that no one can figure out.. I know the romulator works flawlessly, I currently use one when I tune with crome..
