I've been collecting some ideas for my senior project that I have to do... and one thing that I'm not too familiar with are Individual Throttle Body setups. From what I have seen, they have some really decent gains, but generally require some dyno time to make any power. From the options I was looking at, I was looking at purchasing some CBR 954 ITB's, as these seem to be the easiest to work with as the injectors are identical to Civic ones, and the TPS requires a slight modification to work properly. I wanted to gather some of your thoughts for this. From what I have added up, the total cost for parts seem to be about $400-$500... which means in reality, I'll prolly expect it to be a couple hundred more for miscelanious stuff. So I was thinking stopping there and have a pretty unique setup.

But... now I was thinking about taking this setup a step further, and introducing nitrous to it. I have only found 3 threads on H-T that contained the word itb and nitrous... one had a picture of a setup, but it wasn't a very good shot. So I assume it is at least doable. On a stock b16a, found that ZEX offers a direct port setup that can essentially offer a 50 shot which would be perfect. The price kinda sucks at $650... but it could be worse. From what I've been thinking, just tapping into the velocity stack would most likely work. Also heard of a suggestion to tap into the bikes stock injector location. Now, is there any importance as to where the location of the nitrous nozzle will be as far as atomization and the fuel injector itself?

Am I completely dreaming here of doing a nitrous setup with ITB's...?

You'll more than likely need larger injectors as the ITBs will cause you to run lean. Then throw in the usual fuel stuff needed (VAFC, resistor box, fuel pump, fpr).

Good luck finding ITB's from a 954 (or anything else) for less then 1000-1500 bucks. I use to sell them between 1200-1400 bucks used when I worked at the bike shop downtown.

I was planning on 310's, with a V-AFC to limp it to the dyno, then having the setup tuned with Uberdata with a laptop for datalogging.

GSX-R's and CBR's go all the time for $50-$100 maximum on eBay all day long.

Mario you should save up and get some real ITB's. It be less of a hasle. 310 would work.

The whole idea of this project is for me to do bench flow testing, calculations, etc. because of the school project. Plus custom made ones can be done for about half the price of the TWM's, A Sports, etc.
