I was driving to work yesterday, and on 93 I noticed a DSM fast approaching from my rear. 91 Talon, gold, had a 3inch exhaust from what I could see from when he passed me and a boost guage. The kid slows down (probably saw my melon shooter tip), and paces me. I see no cops, so I rev. He reciprocates, and I honk three times and gun it from about 50. I get a car jump on him thanks to turbo lag on his part. He doesn't stay back for long, and slowly begins to pull on my until he gets about a car on me at 90 where I shut it down. He throws the hazards and I get a chuckle. I pull up next to him at the next light and he starts gushing about how badass a sleeper my car is. I ask him what mods he has, and he's got a 50 trim T3/T4, 3 inch exhaust, boost guage, and was running 19 psi, but very rich apparently. I have a hard time believing a car with those mods would only pull a car on or two on me, even with a conservative tune. But whatever, I'm pretty happy with what my car did.

I know who you're talking about, his car is not tuned ahrdly at all, runs VERY rich. He posted a similar story over on RMDSM. Here is his version.

I had a very nice encounter with a blue turbo Storm today. At first I thought it was a saturn tailing me, (which really pisses me off), so I pulled over in the right lane to have this guy zip past me.

I followed him untill we were alone on an good straight road, and pulled up next to him. He gave three honks and we went for it from 35. I barely was walking on him through 2nd, 3rd was better. I slowed at 85 about 3-4 car lenghts in front of him.

Wow, talk about a sleeper. You couldn't even here this thing and he was very fast. He had some 15" rims as well as stock brakes, so only the small exhaust tip was noticable.

I logged the run and I think I'm simply running out of fuel with the 550s (19psi on pump), but I am going to experiment with raising the BFP to 43psi because I believe that is what RC engineering rates their injectors at anyway, (optimal spray pattern).

I talked to him at the next light, very nice guy. He asked how much boost I was running, and then if I still the 14B, (cool he knew some DSM stuff).

Good to see some people who love the sport for what it is, and not some snobby dickheads about it. Far and few inbetween these days. :(

Nobody goes 35 on highway 93.

I disagree. There are psychos who insist on it for some inane reason. We weren't going 35 though, more like 50 or 60.
