What line should I use to hook up my Autometer mechanical oil pressure gauge? Copper or Stainless Steel? Copper is only $10 while SS is a good $40
It needs to be race legal

Stainless steel braided hose with AN fittings. That basically statisfies SCCA regulations. I would imagine NHRA has similar requirements.
Of course, piping engine oil into the passenger compartment is just dumb to begin with, but that's your ticking timb bomb. The electronic oil pressure gauge works quite well.

SS. Plastic lines that the kit comes with is illegal in NHRA, Copper will eventually crack becasue it is quite brittle.
I always use the electronic gauge myself.

NHRA requires metal or stainless line into the interior, with a maximum 3/16" ID.
You can't use regular -4 hose. The lines Autometer sell are -3 hoses with -4 fittings on the ends. -3 is 3/16 if you didn't know.
