Does Subaru offer factory lip kits for the newer STi?
I found this photo on another forum by somebody who doesn't own the vehicle. Any ideas which lip kit this is?

You da maing Leon!

I am definately going to Motor City next weekend.

Any idea what kind of drop that is....or what size wheels he's running?

AND...what are these free mods I've heard about for WRX owners? Are they adjustments?

What does MBP stand for?

<----Scoob N00B!

Hmm not sure what kind of a drop it is. Looks about as low as Hung's. So could be anything. I have prodrive springs but they don't drop very much, only about an inch or less. Those wheels look like 18s to me. The free mods? Hmm, I removed the intake silencer for free and debadged the Subaru letters off the trunk :D. You can also do a 3/16th mod, which changes the diameter of the vacuum line and fucks with boost. Oh yeah, It's Leo not Leon :)

Those look like 19" SSR Professors to me. The drop also looks like a coilover drop for as low as it is up front. I'm not sure what MBP is but I know of OBP and JBP. BTW, PSM rulez.

That guy goes by the user name g0tb00st on ClubWRX. Hung is right about the coilovers.

I can float around ClubWRX for some more info.

Hey Hung....what's PSM?

*Sorry Leo!*

WRB > PSM. I got both in my garage. 12 miles on the Forester. 12,000 miles on the WRX :D

Ahhh...so that's what the anacronyms stand for! In that case...I'm partial to OBP myself.

Greddy only offers a font lip for the 04 STi, but not an entire lip kit. Since we're on the subject, do those side skirts look familliar to you?

The reason I asked about the MBP was because of this thread ~ http://www.highaltitudeimports.com/t25351-.html

That's the Chargespeed V1 sideskirt.

Honestly....if you guys had to do it all over again, after first purchasing your Scoobz...what would be the first mod you would make? Knowing what you kow now!

Oh yeah...are the upgrade STi (SPT website) shocks & springs offered through Subaru worth the money? If not...which would be the best shock/spring setup to go with? Tien?

**Yeah I know...I ask a lot of questionz!**

My first mod would still be the same: remove intake silencer.

Not sure about the SPT springs but I'd definitely consider the STI Pink springs.

My first mod was silencer as well. SPT springs are decent. I have Prodrive Springs - they are made by Eibach for stock WRX shocks.

Hung, are you gonna do anything like the Cobb AP?

STIBungy

No. I'm planning on a larger turbo so the AP would be useless then.

Cobb AP?

Accessport by Cobb tuning. I'll be upgrading to it probably in the summer.

Besides removing the intake silencer...what else could be done to the STi to free up HP w/out dropping bank?

Again...thanx for all the info Leo, Hung....the more I talk to you guyz...the more I want to get this car.

Silencer removal doesn't really give you HP gains. The biggest gains are from upgrading the exhaust, particularly the downpipe. You can put on manual boost controller and turn in up a little bit.

In all truth...I don't even know why I asked that! I've been driving this Accord for the last 4 years. Even w/ I/H/E...I don't even think I'm pushing 130hp!

Driving an STi is gonna own me! I prolly won't even WANT to mod it till I get used to the thing! Take it out to the track and acquire some skills. In any case...I'll prolly do what you did...and remove the emblems.

Although...I would want to lower it a bit...and throw some Gram Light 57F-Pro's on it. Along w/ that Greddy lip. Damnit...now I'm gettin excited!

What kind of management then?

Out of curiosity...& since I can't access ClubWRX here at work (& it's not avail on subaru.com)...what type of turbo comes in the STi?

Which exhaust is best for the STi w/ out the fart can look?

Damn that car is sexy! ;wor;

American STi's come with VF39 turbos, which aren't very big. As far as exhaust there are a lot of different ones that don't have the fart can look - Borla, Cobb Tuning, Vishnu.
