hey guys, ive been looking at the '05 acura rsx type s. unfortunetly i dont have a dealership close by that i can test drive one. so before i make the hour long trek to the dealers, has anyone here driven one yet? i drove an '04 civic si, and it was pretty cool, not how i thought it would be, but ok. is it comparable? better im sure w/ the 6 speed and more hp. so can anyone give me first hand advice?
P.S. i have a '91 CRX HF for sale, full interior if wanted, ac if wanted, almost completly stock if you want it that way, for sale. if i decide to get the rsx anyway

I drove one. It was okay, decent power, nice firm suspension, good brakes, comfortable, and it looks great. Plus you can't go too wrong buying one, the quality is good, it should last a while, and resale value is excellent if you get tired of it.

well that all depends on it you want me to put it back to stock, leave it stipped and give you the stock shit, or just sell it as it is right now. if i sell it as is right now, 2k, if i put it back to stock (put all the interior back in it, ac, and ill put new seats in too) then 2800. but just to let you know, i live in Sothern Ca.
oh and if you want all the stereo shit in it, then 3200.
go for it, i think the 05 look decent, i got a 04, and i love it, and they have fixed some of the problem that was in 02-04, i think you will love it. :)

Good HP and Torque witht eh 05 RSX Type S not much difference in the regular RSX. But I think it's over priced. starts off at what 23k? if you want the Aero kit that comes from dealer it like an extra 3k or more.

Santa Barbara .... woo ... my home town. ;)
Anyway, buy the Si ... and join our site. ;) www.corep3.com
Of course, Im biased, but I prefer the ep3, save near 8k over a type s and you can mod it to be as powerful as you want ... most of my friends bolt on Si's pull on a stock type-s ... plus you get the cool shifter and seats.

well i just went down and drove it. wow, what a bitchin car. i lke it better than the supercharged 04 civic SI i drove. yeah it is pretty expensive, but i think its worth it. i might try a SRT4 before i spend that much on a car, but i think ive made my choice.
well Taik i dont live IN SB, actually about 50 miles north of it in a podunk bass ackwards town called Lompoc. i just say Santa Barbara so ppl know where im talking about. cause yeah, no one has heard of Lompoc sept in Fast and Furious. and he didn't even say it right. Too funny. yeah its pronounced Lom poke not Lom pock

I'm thinking about getting an 02 Type S for a good price, and if I can afford I'm going to go ahead and do it. I love it, I can just imagine that the 05's would be even better.

I loved my 2003 RSX-S. It and from starting out stock is better than other Honda I have owned when it was stock. But then I sold it because I needed money and I had to choose between the GS-R or the RSX-S. I sold the RSX because I have had my GS-R for like 5 years and it has a lot of work done to it. But when I get some more money I will be getting a new RSX-S, probably in like 5 years.

Hey guys,
I have an '05 Type-S that I just love. Its great power wise, suspension wise, and comfort wise. I've had it for 5 months now and have loved every minute of it. Ok, to answer your question, yes. Some parts of the '04 will work on the '05.
I have:
-Skunk2 Cat Back
-AEM CAI
-Unorthodox Racing Pullies
-Revo Short Shifter
I'm waiting to install the hondata gasket. I have also been looking for after market parts for the '05 and have come up short in several areas. The Eibach prosprings just said that the 04 parts will fit on the 05. Although I'm looking at Tien. The big thing I'm waiting for is the Handata K-pro. That and then an HKS or Greddy turbo is soon down the line. If ya have anymore questions I'll do my best to help ya out.
