Had a quick qustion. I am looking at buying rims for my '00 civic EX. In searching for rims I have found thatmost manufacturers list the offset of there different models and was wondering if the offset is measured from front of rim or back of rim and also what would be best offset to keep turning easier while not losing the performance and curb appeal of new rims.

The lower the offset number, the further out the wheel is. The width of the rim affects it too, but on a normal aftermarket rim, 45mm is usually pretty close to stock on a Honda.

Measure from the back side of the center section of the rim (where the lugnuts are) to the lip of the rim, that's the backspacing.

38mm-45mm for a Civic. It depends on the width of the rim as well.

Offset is measured from the center of the rim. When the mounting surface is towards the street is +, toward the car is -.
