do i really need the HIGH/Low Beam on my civic Hatch?....cant i just run with the Low beams only....honda-tech is having a sale on the HID Low Beam for $250 .......6000k to 12000k do u think its worth it just for low beam?

visability suck-ass with anything higher than 6k IMO. The H4 single beam kits are made so theres no glare. Nice to have high beam but if you don't drive in the mountains at night i'd say you'll be alrite..

You wont see shit.... The only thing you will be able to see is a Gay New World when everything is purple..

Shoe, I would not do that.

First of all, if a cop ever pulls you over for suspected hi-beams on due to the glare of aftermarket kits, you want to be able to prove that it is the low-beam. And second, I'd go projector only for HID's... simply the best. I have JDM headlights with some decent H4H bulbs and I love the lighting, but it's not perfect by any means.

Could just be me, but last time i rode in a car with 12000k's it gave me a headache and messed with my eyes...felt like i was staring at a computer monitor for hours

12000k sucks man. my friend has 8000 or 9000k on it and all you see is a dim purple color. it looks good when you see it coming towards you in another car, but when you have it in your car, your visiablity sucks.

if your going with hid's, go with 4000k and the highest is 6000k

i have 4300k on the accord right now, let me know if you want to check out how the visablity is at night. also keep in mind that supposedly over time the salt in the hid bulbs will turn more blue over time

i'd stay away from misterjung, he's a bit cheaper but i heard his customer service is horrible. you'll be chasing for your hids, or if you have any issues with any of the parts, your pretty much on your own.

I haven't bought anything from him so I don't really know. His site is pretty information but I am sure that others are too. I haven't really looked. Where did you get your Hid's from? Got any recomendations?

i got mine from liteswap.com 1.5 years ago before the catz model was banned. i heard so many stories from misterjung, it's not worth that small amount of money that you think your saving.

Thanks for the input. That is the 2nd time I have heard negative shit about him. I heard something on Is300.net forums about him as well. Was your kit plug and play or did you have to mod some things?

his rep on the accord and bmw forums is terrible. i think most if not all aftermarket hid kits are plug and play, no splicing needed. however i have heard that with some of the h1 kits, you might need to dremel the headlight so the bulb can fit the opening.

Hey I got a question kinda like this bought HID's I seen a EG6 in Super Street with JDM headlights like I have. They require a H4H bulb which is hard 2 find. Anyway the mag showed pics of HID lights and listed it in the mods. I want to go HID but want 2 keep my JDM H4H plastic headlights WTF can I do any one out there know?

if you were talking about keeping your jdm lights, and still using hid's on it, it should be fine. just be ready to drop some cash for the h4 duel beam. if normal h1, 9005, 9006 kits cost 400, then the h4 kits cost about 850 or. don't quote me on it, it's just an approximation

The H4 and H4H bulbs are different. I have contacted several places which all say they have JDM HID lights but when I ask for a H4H they say they have never heard of it. I think JDM is a term that is misrepresented most of the time. I have heard of people modifiying there H4H to fit a standard H4 but I don't want to experiment and break them. I had Piaa's before I went with JDM headlights and was kinda pissed that they wouldn't fit. The Piaa's were almost $100
