I have a problem with the engine everytime i accelerate and i hit about 2000-3000 rpm the engine stops giving power and it starts giving power after those rpm ranges ...it is like when you go past the rpm range and it doesnt want to accelerate anymore but the problem is in the lower rpm ranges ...any suggestions .....????????

well, thats pretty low RPM range, pretty much totally out of your power band. Is it really notchy or does it feel like its stumbling or misfiring down low? I'm not totally sure what youre asking.

Do the basic maintenance checks, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, PCV, etc.

Sounds like a major problem with the timing. Like belt alignment, plug wire sequence. If you dont get it figured out bring it by my shop and Ill get it running right.

are you saying you get power before 2000 then it stops? i wouldnt necessarily say its timing unless youve changed it...

There really isnt any power before 2000rpm. Timing can change itself given certain circumstances. Ask STiBungy.

I think your B16 was jealous and wanted to give i-VTEC a try. ;)

When i accelerate and i get to 2000-3000 the power just stops and after about 3000 rpm it starts to accelerate. The comparison is like when you go past the the rpm range and the engine stops giving power but the problem occurs in the lower rpm range. Does clarify my explanation? Hey ghandi where is your shop located? Do you fix just imports bec i would like a pricing for my domestic vehicle?

I just did the tune up and one of the spark plugs was really hard to get out do you think one of the spark plugs is not firing?

My shop is in Arvada. I can do some domestic stuff depending on what you want done. If its something that I cant handle I know a really good domestic shop right around the corner from me. We trade work back and forth all the time.
