code 17 vss

i just did a tranny swap and now i'm getting a code 17 speed sensor, i cant find it in any book i'm running the zc motor with a 90 crx si tranny, i wasnt throwing any codes before the swap. anyone have any ideas?

Your motor is non-obd right? To my knowledge non-obd vehicles did not even come with vss. That is just strange.
