I'm inheriting an HDTV from my parents later this week. The only problem with the tv is that the color is slightly off and also the focus might be off a little. Does anyone here know how to adjust the projections and colors or know of someone that could?

The TV is a rear projection 43" Hitachi. I'll have find out the model number when I get it.

TIA

Its not a fun job, or cheap.. :( Call around to any of the places that install large home theatre stuff and/or projectors..normally they will have an in-house tech that may be able to do it..or at least refer you to someone. However..it might just be cheaper to buy a new TV..heh.. :)

I saw this guy on the corner holding up a sign "can fix TV or VCR for food" -- might wanna hit him up. :D

I used to adjust my own color and convergence. I have the DVD and color goggles if it is just an adjustment and not a parts failure.

Can I borrow them if needed?

Hung,

This is what you need.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/630551982X/103-4378876-9344606?v=glance

This comes with color filters and test patterns. Filters do no good if your not using the appropriate patterns.

EDIT: Looks like tobi may have the right stuff. Tobi what DVD do you have Avia or DVE?
