looks like I am plagued with problems. antifreeze steam coming out my exhaust, radiator bubbles with engine running, no 4 spark plug shows water damage. so here is my question

how likely is it to be a cracked head. just had the head done (valve job and milled to be sure it was not warped) 4500 miles ago. never went over 3,000 rpm in breakin (first 1500 miles) oil was changed every 500 miles for the first 3,000 miles. Hell I thought I was doing good. I even re checked the torque on head bolts at 1,000 and 3,000 miles and they were all fine?

is it possible that the head wasn't torqued down in the right order? sounds like a text book head gasket problem

its pretty hard to flat out crack a head and im sure the shop would have noticed any cracks in the head when they were working on it

edit - what engine is this?

Have you thought about a cracked sleeve?

I recently (last week) had similar symptoms, found three bent exhaust valves, the first three starting from the drivers side, and some head warpage around where the valves were bent. Not completely sure why it happened, but the timing belt was awfully floppy when I went to disassemble it, so thinking the tensioner may have gotten loose. I retensioned it after I put the head back on and it seems to work fine, but I'm going to keep an eye on my timing belt tension going forward.
