Yes, this is the original Skyline from the first Need For Speed Underground cover. The guy that bought it from the original owner is actually local here in Denver. His name is Isaac, and he's very cool! I spent more time talking to him than I did taking pics. He just bought the car last January in Seattle from the original owner. He's already bought new rims, catback (to allow it to handle our high altitude better), and etc. It should all be street legal by January '05. The car is just beautiful! The pics don't do any justice at all what-so-ever. He's doing the work through Racing Trenz, which is where the car stays when he's not showing it off until he can drive it.
Enjoy the pics!!

Actually the guy that first boutght the car his name is David he is also the guy that owns that SC NSX that is sitting in the parking lot. I think that he still owns it but I'm not 100% sure. And the car being leagal by january is still a big maybe.

i could be wrong but i dont think joule can. i dont remember where i heard that they were thinking of selling the r32 for a r34, but they found out that you could not make the r34 legal. so they kept the r32. but like i said, i could be wrong.

That car was very nice indeed, me and the team saw it at Hot Import Nights in Los Angelas 2 summers ago.

Its pretty nice, i think if it lost all the decals it would be better.
Does it have any mods done to it, besides I.C.E. body kit and some stickers?

Ok David still owns the car. The car will be legal in 2005. There are still few things that they are working on about the OBD laws but it should be all resolved soon.
Mods are basic for now but 5" HKS titanium exhaust is sitting at trenz and the HKS twins are soon to be added to the car.
For now its mostly stock. And motorex and Joule can't legalize R34.

Thank you very much Slava! I'm terrible with names, so it makes sense that I got his name wrong. He's a real cool person to talk to though, and has a lot of pride in his car!

Yeah he is a very cool guy. Did he tell you about all of his cars or just the Skyline?
Storm Girl

We only talked about the Skyline. I heard he has like 4 other cars, though. What are they?
Slava

He has the NSX super charged, Rx7, Supra T78, I think that his fastest car is the CRX Fully built turbo. The guy has a lot of fast cars and some bikes as well. All of the cars are built. But its not going to his head he is still down to earth guy.

I am in the WRONG damn buziness!
Backstreet Customs here in the Springs has an R32 that's just for the track. They claim a little over 1000HP.
Did he let you sit in the Skyline....or is it one of those "hands off" situations?

He did let the manager of the store sit in it, but I just couldn't bring myself up to it. I'm sure that if I asked, he would've been cool with it. That's the thing about him - he's very down to earth, as Slava said. He's not cocky about it, and he's doing things to the car to make it his - not Need For Speed's. I like his intensions! Some other Joe Blow out there would probably lock it up in the garage under a sheet never to drive or touch. David actually wants to drive it - use it - customize it. He's cool.

Already got new parts for the car they are just not on it yet. Then new body will look awsome and its going to be the only one in the country.

did he say how much he paid for it?
R-34's can be made legal just like R-33/32's.
Motorex website (http://www.skylinegtr.com)
And I believe Joule got theirs legalized through Motorex...could be wrong though.

$85K - Which really surprised me - I thought it would've been more.

I've seen several legal, tagged and inspected R34's.
A few here in Colorado too. A few more than didn't come through Motorex and weren't federalized.
If Joule can't do it, they don't know the law, or they have the wrong paperwork for the car.
Federalization is a big pain in the ass, and almost impossible for a small company or individual to accomplish, but thankfully Motorex already did the legwork. If you know how, you can use that to your advantage instead of paying them a $10k-$20k grand markup.

Uhhh, yeah.

There's skylines for dirt cheap. With shipping and costs of the car I don't see them costing much more than an STI or EVO.

the skyline looks sweet. But way too much money to actually own one.
