i have an 96 integra ls, my question is that when im in reverse, and in first gear and give it some gas and then let go of the peddle i hear this almost like a grinding noise? its coming from the front passenger side. could it be my cv axle? or maybe something as simple as greasing something? any help will be appreciated.. thanks!! ( sometimes its loud and sometimes its not that loud)

yeah brakes are ok, and its not clicking so i guess it cant be the axle? it just has this whining/grinding noise and it gets worse the more gas i give it in first and reverse sometimes in second too. other than that it runs really good brakeing, shifting..its just that dang noise? i know its not normal. thanks for the post saabracr!

Could have a pebble lodged between the dust shield and the rotor.

well i just checked the brakes they look ok, would it make that noise if i needed clutch fluid? or tranny fluid its more whinny than grinding. but its just that side right passenger? what about the bearings if they need greasing would they make tha sound?

If it's only in certain gears, I'd suspect the tranny.
