There's oil and sludge in the intake pipe, just a little bit. It's coming from the hose from the valve cover. Any ideas what might be causing this? The oil and coolant both look good btw.
Also, lately the car hasn't been acting right. Once in a while on the highway it will cut out just a little and when I punch it, it immediately throws a CEL, code 81, I think.
Any ideas?

ok, thanks

but for the problem with the way it's running, it's been idling erratically and the things I mentioned before. I just swapped out the ecu and now it's not idling eratically but it's idling at 1800rpm and the cel is staying on, there's no code on the ecu. The idle screw is backed all the way out, I can't idle it down any further.
Somebody help...

Your problem is that that hose coming from the valve cover is used to ventilate pressure in the head. Take off the hose , put a very small filter on the valve cover, adn plug the hole in the intake pipe. this will keep oil from being sucked in with the air, thus getting rid of the oil and slugde problem.
