Hey does anyone have any experience with installing a SAFC II in any honda...preferably a 88-91 CRX with a B16A1. Pr3 ECU. i have wiring diagrams for the ecu and car but are there any things that are notable dificulties to watch out for?

Installing a V-AFC on my Prelude was really easy. I cut about six wires on the ECU harness all together, used butt connectors to reconnect them all... worked great.

My first time took a couple hours, I was slacking and not really working.

I could prolly install another AFC within an hour now.

They are easy to hook up just check twice and cut once. Just follow the wiring diagram and you will be fine.

We do installs by the way if you're near boulder.
If you are doing it yourself, remove the battery before installing it, accidentally crossing two wires is very bad. Make sure you have everything handy before you start, extra wire just in case, connectors, wire cutters, wire strippers, etc. Nothing's worse then cutting a wire into your ECU and then realizing you need something, now that your car is out of commission. Good luck, make sure you have nice strong connections before putting everything away, nothing's more embarassing then driving along and the output wire slipping out of its connector and killing your car :)

Very true, thanks a lot man. one thing...would you recomend soldering all the connections or just some or not at all? which ones absolutely positively cannot come out or it will screw up my car?

Just use butt connectors. ;NutKick;
