So the other delivery driver got into an accident too. Awesome luck and timing. He's got a rental car.. he said that it's under his dads name, but since he's under his dads policy he is allowed to drive it. He is 18.

Questions: I deliver chinese food -- is this going to be any issue with the rental car? I will be using it for work. Or is it non of their business? I don't want to be denied a car because my job requires me to use it.

Any insights appreciated. :(

I bet the rental car company wont cover him if he gets into a wreck in the rental car.

They wont cover him and I think it is CO state law that you have to be 21 to drive a rental car.

His dad also signed a paper saying that he and nobody else would be driving the rental car. If something happens, they would also be liable for a lawsuit.

if his dad did not pay additional for someone under 21 to be driving, i think he's screwed. And it's his dad's insurance company that will be fixing the rental car, but they will say he shouldn't be driving anyway.

since the insurance company has rented the car they are probably covering it under the existing insurance company so he would be allowed to drive it.
