I like the simplicity of the clickers. I can get some K2 Magma flat clickers from this year for like $45. I like the toe/heel design cause I've used those and the side/side ones before. Get more control with the toe/heel design.
I called all the official K2 dealers here in town and none of them have the new ones in stock. I'd like to go look at them before I buy them online.
here's the link: http://www.k2snowboards.com/bindings/binding.asp?ProductID=46

Input?
Thanks! :)

I think I will try out the step-in bindings this year. Strapping in and out has become such a PITA.

Clickers are actually not that great...you get snow in them or in your boot and you don't have a firm grip. Russ has snap-ons and loves them so much better than the clickers. I forget who makes them, but if you do a search, you might find it. The snap-ons snap onto the outside of your boot rather than into your boot.

That's really the only downfall is getting snow in your boot. I've used them for years and as long as you clean off the snow you're good to go. I've never had one open up on me or anything. I dig them. :)

I feel like I don't have enough control when I use step-ins. I like strap-ins better personally. But to each his own right?

which strap-ins do you have?
Will places rent out just boots/bindings so I can test out different options?

I am quite happy with my clickers. Rarely is the snow the right consistency to build up with the newer coatings they use, and rarely are you stepping in in a place where you can't just slap the board down to get it out. I don't know which exact ones mine are, but they were the top of the line 3 years ago and have yet to give me any trouble.
Clickers still require you to tighten a power strap when you start off down the hill, so they are not really all that much faster. The advantage here is that you don't have to sit down.
The best thing by far however is that you can leave your power strap/laces kinda loose when you are just cruising or jibbing around in the park and still have your boots locked into the board. This has extended my days by hours at times- not having to smash your foot with a strap-in to have control and predictable handling.
I would be curious to try the Flow bindings- the ones where the straps are replaced by a piece of contoured stretchy fabric. I hear that they ride really nice and are very comfy, but the lower model ones have quality issues. May be worth looking into.

There are those bindings that have a really cool design where the back of the binding folds down and you stick your foot in and then the back folds back up.... I've herd good reviews about these bindings because they give you the full control of strap ins with only a slight bit more effort then a ste in. I've ridden on step on bindings before......they are very diffrent. You will have much less control with the step ins.
EDIT... I think they are called flow bindings like the guy above was talking about.

Alright, well I just got off the phone with Flow and the guy was super informative. Their site is www.flow.com. I found a piar of their PRO-C in large which have a carbon fiber back to them and are like $250 bindings for a sweet deal. I may just go with them. I was worried about the boots and if you need any kind of special boot to fit in them, but he said you don't; just to be careful of extra padded boots cause then they might not fit the size range of the bindings. Like I said, very informative.
Thanks for the info guys! You may have just saved me some trouble with the clickers AND given me a line on a badass set of bindings! :)

Let us know how you like the flows if you get them. They look like a very good design.
white_n_slow you reading this? Buy some bindings and ditch the cardboard and duct tape!

Flows are great bindings.......they have been around for like 10 plus years but never caught on till about 3 years ago. If you end up getting K2 clickers spray them with WD-40 to keep the snow from getting clogged up in the clips. I have had and will always have strap ins. I have used step ins and they suck. Plus I am fast at using strap ins.

the Clickers are pretty good I have used the side/side and the Heel/Toe, I like the heel tos for natural comfort and movement of in and out. I did not like them for when I would go big or pull of wicked twisties, I would land and there was a minimal amount of absorbtion for landing, they hurt the shit out of me ffet quite I few times. I went with the Flows a few years back when WI had sent me a new board. I love the flows and do not think I will ever by a different pair of bindings again. Plus Flow and DC Fit great, so favorite boot, favorite binding matches up great.
