Civic vs. M3

So my brother wants to race me in his new M3. He's got the SMG tranny with the drag launch feature and is feeling pretty badass launching at stoplights. He drives up from Atlanta (6 hours) and we head to the track. I think he really expected to win, and it is a very fast car. It wasn't even close, I jumped ahead off the line, he gained a little ground while I was in 2nd, and I pulled away fast in 3rd and 4th, beat him by 1.5 sec. Then it started raining so we went home. We'll try it again Sunday if the rain holds off. He handled it real well though, and at the end of the weekend he is driving home in a new M3, while I'm driving around in a Civic, so I guess he shouldn't feel too bad.

Not really, that was my first run in my new drag radials, so I was just trying to get a feel for what I can do in them. They are awesome, If I can actually get some runs in on them I'll be well into the twelves. I would have beat him on my street tires, but not by as much and I would have had to catch him as he would have beaten me through first and second.

Completely, it's still under warranty. After this week he's thinking about boosting it after the warranty runs out.
