Alright guys, I need your help with something. My mom is looking at purchasing a new car. She wants to spend between 20-35k dollars and wants something thatll seat 4 but is also sporty. She wants a car with some get up and go and I also want her to get the funnest car in this market for my personal pleasure. She has been looking at the RX-8 and the STi aswell as the Audi TT. Im looking for you serious opinions on what is the best car to buy with every consideration. Gas mileage, safety, warranty, reliability, speed, etc etc. Thanks for your help in advance.

Saab 9-3 Aero. Power, handling, safety, utility, fuel economy, reliability, comfort, style.

Well, the Audi isn't a 4 door. The STi is the sportiest by far, but it may be too sporty for her. She'll think that the RX-8 is fast, until she drives the Subaru.

Here's a couple options...
The New Pontiac GTO...
Mitsubishi Evo..
WRX STi..
Infinity G35...

The STi and Evo might be a little too racecarish for your mom... they come stock with racing seats and the evos are not very confertable after sitting in them for more then 30 minutes.. the STi is close to the same way... The G35 is a very nice car that is confertable but is not as fast as the other options... I just did some reasearch on the new GTO's and they look very luxiourious and come stock with 350hp and an aluminum v8.

You should be shot for suggesting a Pontiac.

Here's my picks:

Subaru Legacy turbo <- like Brian's car
Forester 2.5XT
Acura TSX <- dont get auto
Acura TL *bling* *bling*
Saab 9-3

she saw a picture of a silver sti with blue interior and loved the looks. i thought this was weird because its not as cutesy as the rx-8. I would also much rather her buy the STi so that i can have some fun on the streets since my civic still isnt up to par.

Get a job so you can buy your own stuff, and then you won't have to worry about what your mom gets.

I guess that seats 4. The 2 in the back have to be paraplegics. :D

No they don't, because when things get scary, they can't hold onto anything. All they can do is tighten their buttocks, which I why love meeting chicks at the hospital doing community service. I drive like an asshole for a couple weeks while I "court" them until they are ready. Then after I get tired of her, I don't have to worry about her calling or showing up at my house.

The G35 sedan is great, lots of torque, nice suspension, very nice for a family sedan. I think you can get it with a 6-speed too.

-UPDATE

today i went dealership walking with her and drove a handful of cars since its been 10 years since shes driven a stick and also doesnt know much about car shit in general.

I drove the following today...

WRX STi - amazing power from a stop but stiff seats that kinda hurt her back and she wasnt a fan of the hood scoop and wing

Pontiac Grand Prix GTP - We both hated the way the car looked but then we saw it had alot of nice feautres. HUD, XM, ONSTAR, Literally power everything with heated seats and leather. It also had the padel shifting. I thought the car was going to be a joke to drive but was very surprised. The supercharged engine was a beast from a roll but I could spin the wheels forever from a line.

Pontiac GTO - The guy let me take around a 2004 GTO with 1k miles on it. With being rated at 350 hp at 5200 rpms i was ready for an animal. Im not a huge fan of pontiac but i must say the car looks sweet and more importantly, it was one of the most impressive cars i drove. Power at my fingertips whenever I wanted it without a delay from some of the other cars i drove

A few others

V6 Accord 6 spd
RSX-S
TL
SRT-4
Civic Si

I think the GTP is a joke. 3.8 litres, supercharged, and only makes 260 hp, 280 lb-ft torque. Sure you can upgrade the pulley and push more boost, but that's still pathetic on a hp per litre scale.
