There was an exploder with a ram air hood. He was stopped at the light in the left lane, I was in the right with a car in front of me. The light turned green the car in front of me went the exploder didnt go untill I went so he wanted to race[obviously] pulled ahead of him in second, squeezed in between him and the car in front of me that was at the light, he was probably two car lengths behind me when we hit 90. There was only a grand am in front of us and he got on it in between us. We got to the bowles light and it was red. I made it to the light first the grand am stayed behind me, and the exploder stayed in the left lane. The light switched to green exploder romped on it, I took my time shifting etc, cuz I had enough fun with his slow ass. Grand am was impatient so he went around I acknowledged him, he got in front of me took my lane as we were coming to a red light so I took the left. I didnt want to race him but the light turned green and we went off. I took the wholeshot, was about a half a car length ahead, but he was catching cuz Im still trying to figure out when my powerloss' are. anyway I had a nose on him we hit 90 than he turned. best race ive been in, although I just want to cry when I do those kinds of things to my vehicle. except for a coil , some FRD/FRT wiring and an air filter my vehicle is stock. Oh and the check engine light was on through the whole shpell :)

So you were going 90mph down Wadsworth barely beating an Explorer and a Grand AM? I could tell from the story that your car is stock. What kind of car is it?

90 down Wads??? "beat:

And you wonder how young people get their reputations;I know I sound old but that's doubling the speed limit on Wadsworth and somebody's gonna get killed. Slow down over here please and live.

Ill probably be the one to die since the seat brackets on the drivers side is broke. I already know I need to slow down, but I dont have an excuse as to why I havent yet. Its a 3.8 litre

Hey, lot's of clowns think that their 3.8 V6 are fast. The fastest one I've seen was one on Nitrous at Bandimere about a week ago running a 15.3. Aren't the '95s the last year that they put 5.0's in the GTs? You've got kind of a rare car. Do you have any times for it?

Yea the 3.8 litres' always try to run me. Yup the last year. No I dont not have a time slip. If you dont garage 93-97's or so, the front head lamps kind of get a smoke/translucent appearance from weather change and I friggin hate it. And then I just read some mag 'highly recomends switching your stock 95 computer out for a 93 model.' Chaching. The car is full of headaches. unless your doing 70 in fifth the check engine light is on, low coolant and low oil lights come on every time I start it, after I check them. .Weird ass ticking sound that just came out of nowhere from under the car I just noticed today. When I park it from like a 2 mile drive put the e brake up, and as soon as pop it in neutral I hear a sound like an Insane loose belt, but looks to be fine. Aye aye aye. .I dont have a job and the dealer ship will fix most things for a hundred a pop. cuz of the waranty, should i be like,'yea sometimes the engine makes a freaky ass noise, and theres some unusuall noise developement from under the car. Keep it till you fix these' I dont know-the lone ranger.

Switch to firefox or mozilla and you'll never have a popup again. Just do a google search for firefox, install it, browse pop-up free.

90 down Wads???

those bulevards are so tempting at night. two lanes, nobody's around, lot's of quarter-miles along the way, big and tall christmas trees, cops to measure your trap time...

At might with minimal traffic is just dumb but with other traffic around you are being just stupid. I've done my share of haling ass at very south Wads but there have been a few deaths attributed to speed on Wads and it just isn't worth it.

Ive got an estimated 1/4 mile time. Stock 95 GT convertibles with bad clutches run 15.1 at 90 mph. I think I have a MAF problem now but, I own a coupe a few mods, Id probably run mind-high 14's 'burnout:

Ok then you need to get the guy who ran that time and put him in some of the stangs I saw at the track, and especially the ones I've run the last couple of years. There's a big headed SC'd stang running 14.8, says supercharged 4.6 all over it. I went to a stang meet with my buddy 6-pack, and there was some cocky guys saying how they could walk my car, and one of their best times then with gears, cams, intake, powerchip, and pulleys was 15.8 compared to my 15.1 on stock clutch.

Actually you'd be lucky if you ran a high 15 since the last few years of GTs ran low 15s and they had a considerable amount more ponies than the '95s did plus being a convertible you'd most likely run mid 16s with 225 stock ponies which is even less up here. I've never seen a stock GTs from that gen run under 16 seconds till the '99s came out and then they started to run a decent time up here.

Not trying to be an ass just posting facts from what I've seen at Bandi since I'd been racing since '93.

hehe, racers up here always have to explain the altitude factor to the flatlanders since they just think all of us don't know how to drive. :D
