And I know I'm mechanically retarded.

Any way I'm just about ready to order the complete b16 SIR II change over from hmotorsonline.com. This is what I'll be getting along with the motor.

- Motor
- Hydraulic Tranny (S21, Y21)
- ECU (P30)
- Axles with Half Shaft
- Shift Linkage
- Stock Motor Mounts *
- Alternator
- Starter
- Clutch
- Flywheel
- Intake Manifold
- Exhaust Manifold
- Fuel Rail
- Injectors
- Distributor
- Engine Harness

I know there's something more that I'm going to have to find. Knuckles, hubs maybe? Anywho, could you let me know what I'll possibly need besides the obvious tune-up and belts. Or perhaps maybe direct me to a list of what I should need? FWIW this swap is going into a 95 civic hatch CX.

Thanks

The list you just gave just about covers it. Thats why its called a COMPLETE change over.

A good thing to do before throwing the engine in is to change the timing belt and w/p. Often time, the mileage stated is inaccurate or unknown. Superduper easy while it's out.

the clutch is a good thing to change too, while it is out of the car. Get a ful clutch kit ie: clutch, throw-out bearing, and pressure plate. it will help you out in the long run, have Honda Ghandi get you a price on one.

Anytime I do a swap I wait until I see the motor to see what it needs. But the normal list of jap takeouts is always the same.

Oil change, Clutch, Dist cap and rotor, plugs and wires, timing belt and water pump. Valve adjsut and valve cover gasket. Sometimes it hard to tell if it is leaking anywher because they usually steam clean them so you hav eto wait a few miles to determine if there are any oil leaks.
