i got everything back together and fired up the car. When i started it up, there was a sort of clunking noise comin from the tranny which would go away about 2 secs after i put the clutch all the way in. I threw it in gear, and could move it fine back and forward. So i started to drive it down my driveway, something clunked, and then it stopped moving. I can go through all the gears just fine, but when i let off the pedal, the car doesnt move. I thought it was the axles but i checked those and both were in. When i have the clutch pedal out and rev the motor, the speedo does not move.

Doubtful. If the gears were broken the trans would most likely lock up causing the car to stall when the clutch was let out. It sounds like an axle popped out or is broken. Tow it in Ill get it fixed up for you.

It needs to be looked at. There are several problems you are describing that could be many things.

Could be multiple things like Honda Ghandi said, One of your axles Joints could be bad... or out. Could also be your Throw out bearing snce it wants to move in Neutral.

I had the axle problem right after I changed out my clutch and got refurb'd axles, one of the axles joints the place I got them from were bad. I took it back, changed it out and all was good. That could be it but if it wants to move in neutral then it sounds like it is the throw-out bearing, since you were hearing clunking in the tranny it could have destroyed the throw-out and it will not engage but in neutral there is enough pressure on the clutch and pressure plate that it wants to move.

Does it feel the same way when you have it in gear and the clutch out as it does in neutral?

Not a throw out bearing. Sounds more serious.
