LS/Vtec you are will have the ls bottom end and the oil runners ( I think thats what they are called) are smaller then the ones on the GSR. And it will be a little cheaper to go with the GSR. This way all you have to do is buy the motor and boost it. LS/Vtec you need to build it first. I was in the same situation as you are I was building my LS/vtec but I just sold it and I'm going GSR turbo.

I agree with Slava. LS/Vtec will yield more power but GSR will last longer, given same boost, build and components.

do not bother teh ghandi with your noob questions
GSR would be cheaper, more reliable, easier to do and make more power. Do what I say and dont do what anybody else said, cause they dont know what they are talking about

Its really up to your budget. The LS will be cheaper but wont be as reliable and cannot be beat on as hard as a B18C1. Either way if its built right and tuned right from the beginning you will get equal power and years of enjoyment.

I met a guy at Bandi tonight with a CRVtec in his EK hatch. He said he ran a 15.5. Not bad considering he had some shit 185/60/14 AS on steelies. Hsun ran a 15.23 best in his GSR hatch w/ drag radials.

There's no need for a high redline if you have FI (ie real power). A plain old LS Turbo can be plenty fast. :)

Most turbo Bseries engines run out of poop well before the redline anyway. Not so with a blower though. All the way to the red and still climbing.
