Probably a stupid question but how do ITB's benifit the motor? They look cool as hell but why so cool?? Why is it better than a single Throtle Body?

Car and Driver had a whole artice about the ITB on the M3 a few years ago.

You get much much better throttle response and the flow is much better.
So you get much more flow much faster.
As soon as you step on the throttle, all 6 or in this case 4 cylinders are getting air instantaneously. While on a single throttle body, all the air has to pass through that throttle body before it can get to each individual cylinder.

Thats what I understood.
Probably some other technical stuff I dont know that has to do with ITB

Or in the case of a High Compresssion race motor that is processing alot of air, and an intake manifold cant flow enough, thats another reason ITB exist.
