Well my car is idling really oddly, it is at about 1250 when the car first starts. and then it goes up to 2k after driving it for a while. I have not had a VTEC engine before and thought maybe a VTEC engine idles a little different but don't think that is the case. Does anybody know how I could adjust my idle to 1250. Also I am getting a CEL now. Does anyone know how to check a CEL on a 1990 Acura Integra.

G2IC has a how-to on pulling codes. IIRC it involves a jumper wire in the passenger footwell.
Vacuum leak?
Crack fuel injector pintle?
Ignition timing?
Idle speed adjustment screw? (I don't recall if DAs have such a device)
Best of luck, I've fought the idle speed a lot in the past.

Well the problem is Andy I have a Integra Type R under the hood now so things may be a little bit different, especially pulling the codes. Well I know have a vacuum leak for sure on the backside of the IM I realized I have nothing hooked up to a vacuum line.

Also when the CEL is on I have no VTEC and my friend has a CEL on his prelude but he still has VTEC. Anyone have any ideas?

You still should have a 2 wire blue connector under the glove box down by the ecu. Put a wire connecting both of those and your cel will flash. Hard flashes are 10's and quick ones a 1's. There will be a pause if you have more than one and then they will repeat. Id fix that vacuum leak first off and then see what code you throw. I cant see how that would cause vtec to not work so you more than likely have a few problems

Sticky throttle cable? Or gunk buildup on the butterfly for the throttle body?
This happened on my prelude several weeks ago. I sprayed some break free on the spring/butterfly assembly on the TB and it fixed it.

Ok thanks Simon. Good idea, gay thing is with this swap I have no idea where all the vacuum hoses go. I guess it'll be trial and error.
