The decal company is sponsoring me up to $650 - which is enough for me to get any custom decal design done. Not exactly sure yet what I'm going to go with.

HOB is sponsoring up to $2,500 which I'll use for a custom box in the trunk. Again, I don't know what I'm going to design, since this is all new as of today.

My guess is that anyone of us who applies will get "sponsored" if they drop 80 bucks. I heard some guy on the Tom Martino show talking about a similar car sponsorship scam.

EDIT: Just looked at the application again. You have to give your credit card info to apply. It says...

"Only if you are accepted for a sponsorship worth $500 or greater will you be charged the $79 account set-up fee for your sponsor pack, agreement and parts delivery." :rolleyes:

I got the exact same sponsorship so I am not sure if this is kind of a scam. Don't get me wrong I am just as stoked to recieve the sponsorship but its wierd that we got the EXACT same deal. I talked to someone from Decalkits.com and they said they try and sponsor almost everyone....I don't know. But whatever, the catalog from HOB is very reasonably priced and at half price, its unbeatably low (next to ebay of course). And the stuff from Decalkits is absolutely free so whatever, I feel like that alone is worth $79. But then again I need to ask myself if I can really pull off a good sticker-decal job or if it will cost me tons to have them put on professionally. Keep me updated on what happens with you.

Yeah, I dropped $80 into it. I haven't received my package yet, but it's supposed to include a lot of things. Decalkits.com sponsored 100% up to $625, including shipping. HOB sponsored up to $2,500 at 50/50. Here's what it means: Let's say there's a stereo in it for $100 (not realistic but an example), I only pay $50 of it, while they pick up the rest. Their prices are supposidely real good. Once I get the catalog, I'll compare and share notes. I'm feeling a littel awkward right now. Three people getting the same exact sponsorship?

I think you may be on to something! For a "store" thats supposed to be web based...they dont actually sell a damn thing on their web site? Vinyl doesnt cost them shit..but I'm sure there is some catch there too..

After I read this thread I got scared, but today I just received (after maybe a week) my first decal. AndI got what i ordered. I sent out first cupon up to 149 value. I got dragon1a.jpg (18X113).

At the least I got my money back. I will see if i will receive next 7 (total 8 vouchers).

I want a custom decal. I want a fire breathing dragon with 7 red spots and and 4 tales but one of the tales needs to be shorter than the other and i want his tounge to knda split apart like those weird snakes but i need his eyes to be blue and if its at all possible id like have him wearing a spiked collar with a heart shaped name tag reading "spike". let me know if they have that in the book. if not, ill probably just go down to the honda dealership and have my pinstripes retouched. thx

Usually a 'sponsorship' comes with some kind of commitment like having to appear at so many shows or events. I thought that the sticker craze died out in the late 80's? haha
