So, this guy posts this up on the Prelude board. He has a near one of a kind Prelude b20a motor with a DOHC VTEC head swap.

"Well, i went out drinking with my buddies down in westport (big party section of the city, like a mini mardi-gras) and i activated my alarm and came out at 3am and my car was gone. Cops havent found it yet what really sux is i finally got the vtec conversion to work right. I hate to say this but it was prolly someone with a 3rd gen that seen my s#$t and wanted it because i didnt have a hood on it because i was doing some mods to my hood. Someone prolly seen the VTEC and went nuts on it. And to think i was going to grind off the DOHC VTEC logos today. Im kinda down about this but at the same time i wanna kill the fuckers who did it. I had so much done to my car it wasnt even funny. Well thought i would just post this and say whats up.

Lewis"

Uhh, hello? No hood... goes to a big party section, and a big DOHC VTEC valve cover sticking out like a sore thumb... am I missing something here?

Silly ricers and their VTEC. And what good is the alarm supposed to do if he doesn't have a fucking hood on it!?

Ricers care about VTEC, and many thieves are ricers.

It absolutlely BLOWS my mind that some of you guys still don't understand how car thieves work yet. They couldn't care less what kind of car or motor you have. All theives care about, is what happens to be hot on the used goods market at the time. You are kidding yourself if you think a thief steals something for himself. They steal to resell it to somone else so they can pay their bills; well, at least that's what the pros do.

It blows my mind that you know this much about thieves. It takes one to know one? No, I'm not accusing you of anything. Your statement about thieves stealing something for themselves is total BS. I know of a certain local speed shop that stole a certain popular car to get at an engine swap for one of their employees.

Thieves will steal shit any time they have a reason to, so it can be either for themselves or to sell to people who don't ask too many questions. And there's always the possibility that they only did it for the thrill.

come on hung, name the shop. let's point fingers and drag their names through the mud. j/k

the owner of that car might have had more luck putting the club on his car instead of using the alarm.
